Local political shifts reported in Tres Arroyos and Morón

Political shifts are occurring in the Argentine districts of Tres Arroyos and Morón as local leaders position themselves for future elections.

In Tres Arroyos, former mayor Carlos Sánchez has ruled out running for mayor again. A prominent figure of the Movimiento Vecinal, who governed the district for several consecutive terms starting in 2003, called for the political space to build consensus and find new leadership to define its electoral strategy for upcoming elections.

In Morón, former mayor Martín Sabbatella has expressed interest in returning to the mayoralty. Sabbatella, who served from 1999 to 2009, has criticized the current administration under Lucas Ghi, citing issues with public services, infrastructure, and healthcare. He warned that if the municipal government continues to decline, it could benefit right-wing opposition. Other potential candidates for the district include Martín Marinucci, the provincial Minister of Transport.
