Local political tensions rise in Coronel Rosales and Hurlingham

In Coronel Rosales, opposition council members have submitted a project requesting that Mayor Rodrigo Aristimuño provide a complete organizational chart of the Executive Department. The request seeks clarification regarding the creation and incorporation of new political positions since January, as well as the specific duties and ranks of officials currently leading various municipal areas.

Specific concerns were raised regarding the reassignment of former Villa del Mar delegate Jorge Boullosa to a coordination role, and the lack of clear leadership in the delegations of Villa Arias and Bajo Hondo, as well as Civil Defense and the Hospital Directorate. Additionally, the opposition questioned the status of the Coordination of Popular Economy and the creation of a new Tourism Area.

In Hurlingham, the Alianza La Libertad Avanza bloc has proposed an interpellation of Mayor Damián Selci due to a critical situation in the Nuevo Mitre neighborhood. Residents in the Villa Tesei housing complex have reported progressive ground subsidence, structural fissures, and building deterioration.

A judicial expert report has warned of a “certain and imminent risk to the lives and physical integrity of the neighbors,” leading to a court injunction. The ruling requires the Municipality of Hurlingham and the Provincial Housing Institute to provide urgent, safe, and dignified housing solutions within 30 days.
