Local political transparency and social issues raised in Italian municipalities

In Campobello di Licata, Democratic Party councilor Antonio Pitruzzella has formally requested the municipal secretary to comply with transparency laws. Citing Legislative Decree no. 33 of March 14, 2013, Pitruzzella is demanding the publication of data regarding political and administrative appointees, including appointment acts, curricula, and compensation details.

In Barletta, Luigi Dicataldo, spokesperson for Europa Verde-Avs, has addressed a rise in local vandalism, including damage to urban furniture, vehicles, and public parks. Dicataldo suggested that these acts reflect a lack of social alternatives for youth and proposed urban regeneration strategies such as street art projects, mobile cultural presences, and increased investment in sports facilities.
