Local radio programming updates in Otsu and Fuji
Various regional radio programs in Japan are highlighting upcoming content and community initiatives.
In Otsu, the program ‘Konbanwa Otsu~FRIDAY PARTY~’ on FM Otsu features a musical segment focused on hits from the late 1980s and early 1990s. The broadcast also covers local trends, such as the launch of the ‘Kanamachi Radio’ podcast by a nursery school in Katsushika, Tokyo, and provides information on the ‘Otsu Flower Festa 2026 in Wani’ scheduled for November 3.
In the Fuji region, Radio-f is running its opening week with themed segments including ‘FREE’ and ‘Stories of my first time’. The station also continues its ‘Walking Around Japan’ project, an initiative encouraging listeners to report their daily step counts to collectively reach a goal of walking the circumference of the country as part of a well-being plan.
