Local readers discuss AI psychotherapy and Bay Area media

Readers have submitted commentary regarding local media and technology in the Sonoma and Marin County areas. One correspondent expressed interest in the intersection of artificial intelligence and psychotherapy, specifically requesting more technical detail on the prompts and guardrails used in Cincinnatus Hibbard’s series on the subject to understand how to implement such tools safely.

Another reader critiqued the local media landscape, noting that the San Francisco Standard has expanded its reach by acquiring the satire website Marin Lately. The commentary suggests that while local outlets like the Pacific Sun have long covered regional absurdities, the acquisition of niche satire sites has shifted the competitive dynamic for local commentary.
