Local restaurants close in Yokohama and Tokyo

Several local eateries in Japan have recently closed their doors. In Yokohama, the Asian takeout specialty shop ‘Little Asia Jun.’ ceased operations at the Keikyu Department Store near Kamiooka Station on August 25, 2026. The shop, which opened in September 2021, specialized in Korean and various Asian dishes including kimbap, kimchi, and japchae.

In Tokyo’s Edogawa Ward, two dining establishments located in Higashi-Kasai closed simultaneously on August 30, 2026. These included the tarako spaghetti specialist ‘Tsumi na Tara Spa’ and the ramen shop ‘Ra-men Fujio.’ Both restaurants had been operating since 2021 and served the local community near Ario Kasai.
