Local restaurants reopen in Ingolstadt and Aichach

Traditional dining establishments are reopening in Bavaria. In Ingolstadt, the Schanzer Rutschn has reopened in the old town after a four year hiatus. Managed by Verena Pirschel and Stefan Tischner, who also operate the Seehaus Ingolstadt, the venue features a menu of Bavarian, Austrian, and South Tyrolean specialties. The restaurant retains its namesake slide, which allows guests to enter the dining area.

In Aichach, the Stemmer inn is preparing for a reopening scheduled for early November. New operators Leonard Pergjergji and his wife Ana intend to transition the establishment back to a traditional Bavarian kitchen, serving classics such as roast pork, sausages, and Kaiserschmarrn. The family plans to operate seven days a week during the initial launch period.
