Local running races held in Lucena and Aguilar de la Frontera

The VIII Carrera Nazarena took place in Lucena, attracting approximately 700 runners for a 4.3-kilometer course. Organized by the Venerable Archicofradía de Nuestro Padre Jesús Nazareno, the route followed parts of the Good Friday procession path, though modifications were made due to construction on Calle El Peso. In the competitive categories, Raúl Parra Muñoz of Club Maratón Lucena won the men's race with a time of 13:21, while Araceli Osuna Alcoba of the Trotasierra club won the women's category in 16:35.

In Aguilar de la Frontera, the 29th edition of the Carrera Popular was held as part of the provincial circuit. Jesús Alguacil of Club Trotasierra Hornachuelos won the men's 10-kilometer race with a time of 33:23, followed by teammate Antonio Montero in second place. Lola Chiclana of Trops Cuevas de Nerja secured the women's victory with a time of 38:16.
