Local safety and prevention initiatives in Poland
Various local government and law enforcement initiatives in Poland are focusing on community safety through education and prevention.
In the Wołomin municipality, the third edition of the ‘Bezpieczna Wołominianka’ project was completed. The program provided women with practical training in self-defense, first aid, and psychological safety, including recognizing warning signs and setting boundaries. The initiative also incorporated health prevention, specifically breast cancer awareness. Participants received support kits containing first aid instructions and safety tools.
In the Ząbkowice district, local police are prioritizing preventive education. Officers are conducting interactive sessions in schools and kindergartens to teach children about road safety and interacting with strangers. These efforts include visits to police stations, such as a recent session with children from Ziębice, to demonstrate police equipment and daily duties, aiming to build community trust and situational awareness.
