Local safety and water quality concerns rise in Alghero and Taggia

In Alghero, the political group Fratelli d'Italia has called for increased security patrols following a concerning incident involving a young girl on the Passeggiata Busquets on August 8. While the child is reported to be safe, the incident caused significant tension that required intervention from the Local Police and Carabinieri. Local politicians are urging institutions to maintain a constant presence in high-traffic areas to protect residents and tourists.

In Taggia, authorities have announced the return of bathing suitability for the waters at Arma. This follows a period of non-compliance that impacted local tourism and economic operators during the peak summer season. Local councilor Federico has called on the municipal government to immediately investigate the root causes of the water quality issues and to conduct comprehensive inspections of the sewage and collection systems to prevent future occurrences.
