Local schools in South Korea hold diverse educational and athletic events

Arim High School is conducting a busy schedule of academic and extracurricular activities throughout October 2026. These include regular examinations, a 'Romantic Picnic' one-day class for middle school students, a second-year field trip to Jeju Island, and a first-year overnight camping trip. The school is also preparing for the 2027 admissions briefing and academic evaluations.

In a reflection on the school's role, faculty noted the challenges posed by declining student populations. Projections suggest a significant decrease in student numbers by 2030, which could lead to the closure of at least one school class. In response, Arim High School has focused on its mission as a 'Happiness School,' emphasizing high-quality, inclusive instruction and teacher research communities to support all students' potential.

Meanwhile, Gwiin Elementary School is hosting a week-long Sports Day from October 12 to 16, 2026. The event is organized by grade level to promote physical activity, cooperation, and consideration among students. Activities include various sports games, relays, and recreation sessions, integrated with the school's RAS education program to foster both physical and mental growth.
