Italy cultural sites offer free admission for November holidays
Various archaeological sites and museums across Italy are offering free admission to coincide with the November holidays, including All Saints' Day on November 1 and National Unity and Armed Forces Day on November 4.
In Rome, municipal museums and archaeological sites such as the Capitoline Museums, the Roman Forum, and the Circus Maximus will be free to the public. Special guided tours of Palazzo Senatorio are also available via reservation. In Caserta, the Royal Palace (Reggia di Caserta) will offer free entry, with some tickets available for online reservation to manage crowds.
Other notable sites participating include the Archaeological Park of Herculaneum, which will provide free access on November 1 and 4, and the Terramara di Montale archaeological park, which is hosting themed activities regarding Bronze Age funerary rituals. In Pompeii, the House of Marco Fabio Rufo, which has been closed since 1980, is undergoing restoration with the goal of reopening to the public before Christmas.
In addition to archaeological sites, cultural initiatives like the “Musei in Musica” event in Rome will offer late-night museum visits for a symbolic fee of 1 euro in late November.
