Local sporting events held in Càlig and Catalonia

The tenth edition of the Trail, Marxa a Peu i Canicross Vila de Càlig took place on October 25, attracting nearly 400 participants. The event included various modalities such as trail running, hiking, and canicross, as well as urban races for approximately 100 children. Local runner Agustín Ribera won the men's trail category, while Laia Cid secured first place in the women's category. Andreu Moya and Sònia Sancho won the men's and women's canicross categories, respectively.

In another regional sporting event, members of the Runners Espanyol group participated in the Trail Lliga’t a la Vida. The group sent five teams totaling 35 participants to the event. Four teams completed a 50-kilometer walk, while one team competed in the 70-kilometer running category, achieving ninth place. The event, which serves as an alternative to Oncotrail, emphasized companionship and commitment among its participants.
