Local sports events scheduled in Italy

Fortitudo Bologna will host a “Teddy Bear Toss” charity event during their Serie A2 basketball match against Rimini at PalaDozza. Following the first basket of the game, fans are encouraged to throw stuffed animals onto the court. These toys will be collected and donated to the Bimbo Tu association, which supports children and families dealing with neurological, neuropsychiatric, and eating disorders.

In Cisterna, the second edition of “Cisterna Boxing Night” is set for October 10 at the Palazzetto di San Valentino. The event features four professional matches and ten amateur bouts. A key highlight includes Gian Marco Caratelli, a super bantamweight boxer ranked sixth nationally, as he undergoes an eight-round test in preparation for his professional Italian title semifinal scheduled for December 19.
