Local sports festivals held in Ahvaz and Qeshm

Various community sports events were held in Iran to promote public health and cultural heritage. In Ahvaz, the ‘Sobh-e Neshat’ walking rally and sports festival took place along the Kianpars coastal road. Organized by the Ahvaz Municipality in collaboration with the local Department of Sport and Youth, the event included morning exercises and competitions in archery, cornhole, darts, mini-football penalties, and ring toss.

On Qeshm Island, the first festival of indigenous and local games was hosted in the city of Ramkan. More than 300 male and female athletes participated in traditional disciplines, including tug-of-war, track and field, seven-stone, and wood-pulling. The event, held in coordination with the Ramkan Municipality to mark Physical Education Week, aimed to preserve the island's cultural identity and encourage social participation through traditional sports.
