Local sports results from Oake Manor and Wellington

Local sports competitions took place at Oake Manor Golf Club and Wellington Bowling Club. At Oake Manor, Samuel Turner won the first division of the Saturday Stableford Competition with 43 points. In the Sunday Stableford, Jamie Hayman secured first place with 43 points. The annual Mixed Greensomes Competition for the Roffey Cup saw Tamsin St George and Richard Clist win with 46 points. Additionally, Vic Burgos won the Andrew Gadd Challenge Cup after scoring 42 points in division three.

At Wellington Bowling Club, the indoor winter season commenced with the Weekend Triples League. The Woodpeckers achieved a significant victory over the Ninchers, winning by a score of 20 to 3. In another match, the New Rollers staged a late comeback against the Allstars, scoring four shots in the final end to secure a 12–9 win.
