TSV 1860 München faces legal escalation from investor Hasan Ismaik
The conflict involving TSV 1860 München and Jordanian investor Hasan Ismaik has escalated, with Ismaik reportedly filing a damages claim at the Munich District Court. The legal action, reportedly handled by attorney Peter Gauweiler, may involve claims totaling millions of euros.
The dispute stems from the insolvency of the club's KGaA. Ismaik, who invested approximately 85 million euros into the club since 2011, had terminated loan agreements in May 2026. This move left the club without the necessary financial security to qualify for the 3. Liga, leading the club to separate from Ismaik and establish a new company to continue operations in the Regionalliga.
While club president Gernot Mang had previously expressed doubt regarding the likelihood of a lawsuit, the recent filing marks a significant development in a dispute that threatens to impact the club for years.
