Local sports teams secure season-opening victories

Borussia Emsdetten C2 secured a 2-1 away victory against Altenrheine to begin their Kreisliga A season. Tristan Memet opened the scoring in the 52nd minute, and although Altenrheine equalized in the 65th minute, Jarno Dauwe scored a long-distance goal in the 73rd minute to clinch the win.

In handball, TSG Offenbach-Bürgel II won their season opener in the Männer-Bezirksoberliga with a 37-25 away victory against TGS Seligenstadt. Iven Waldmann and Tom Wörner each scored eight goals, while Torben Wenzel, Moritz Röhr, Luca Morgano, and Zahn contributed significantly to the decisive win.
