Local swimming programs launch for primary students in Poland
New swimming initiatives are being introduced for primary school students in different Polish municipalities to promote physical health and essential life skills.
In Krzeszowice, the ‘Już pływam 2026’ program will provide swimming lessons for third-grade students. The initiative is supported by funding from the Małopolska Voivodeship and the Krzeszowice Municipality, with each contributing 21,540 PLN. Participating schools include those in Ostrężnica, Czerna, and Miękinia.
In Sokółka, the Sports and Recreation Center is offering free swimming courses for students in grades 1–3. Funded by the Ministry of Sport and Tourism in cooperation with the POZP, the program is scheduled to begin between October and November 2026. The curriculum includes 20 lesson hours, utilizing games and water familiarization for beginners, while offering technique refinement for more advanced groups.
