Local tourism and artisan initiatives launched in João Monlevade and Monforte

Presented during a “Tourism and Development” lecture, the initiative aims to increase local awareness of regional heritage and attract visitors to stimulate the local economy and service sectors.

In Monforte, Portugal, the Municipal Tourism and Culture Service hosted an information session regarding the Artisan Card. This official title, issued by the IEFP, recognizes the professional competencies of artisans. The session, attended by local craftsmen and officials, detailed the legal procedures and benefits of the status, including access to state support, national craft prizes, and official artisan labeling for products.
