Local traditions and religious festivals held in Auletta and Nembro

Various local traditions and religious celebrations are taking place across Italy. In Auletta, the 25th edition of ‘Mangiamo con i contadini’ is being held on September 19 and 20 in Piazza Falcone e Borsellino. The event celebrates rural identity and local gastronomy, featuring products such as white Tanagro artichokes, Tondino white beans, and extra virgin olive oil. The festival is organized by the Pro Loco of Auletta in conjunction with local religious and community associations, honoring San Donato da Ripacandida.

In Nembro, the Festa dell’Addolorata is being observed in the San Sebastiano district. The program for September 14 and 15 includes musical elevations and solemn masses dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary. These celebrations also serve as a period of spiritual preparation for the upcoming beatification of Padre Martino Capelli, a priest from Nembro.
