Local traffic restrictions announced across various Italian municipalities
Various municipalities in Italy have announced local traffic and parking restrictions to accommodate upcoming religious festivals, sporting events, and infrastructure works.
In Orvieto, traffic regulations will be in effect on Friday, August 14, 2026, for the Feast of the Assumption. Between 19:00 and 20:00, transit will be prohibited on Via del Duomo and Corso Cavour between Torre del Moro and Piazza della Repubblica. Parking is also prohibited in Strada di Porta Romana and Piazza della Repubblica, and local bus termini will be relocated to Strada di Porta Romana.
In Vallecamonica, several restrictions are scheduled for mid-August. Ceto will implement parking and transit bans on August 15 to facilitate the Ceto-Valpaghera event. In Pian Camuno, road circulation will be suspended on August 15 for the Trofeo GS Piancamuno cycling race, and Vissone will see transit bans in Via Fonte Vecchia and Via Fabio Filzi for a community dinner. Additionally, various roadworks involving electrical connections and seismic upgrades will cause temporary one-way traffic or closures in several locations throughout late August.
