Local training initiatives launched in Giresun and Denizli

In Giresun, practical pruning training is being conducted as part of the Sustainable Agriculture Hazelnut Care Technician Training project. Coordinated by the Giresun Governor's Office with support from the Eastern Black Sea Development Agency (DOKA) and the Social Development Support Program (SOGEP), the program aims to increase hazelnut yield and quality. The training, held in cooperation with the Hazelnut Research Institute, provides hands-on instruction in pruning techniques, correct cutting points, and garden management to help producers combat diseases and rising labor costs.

In Denizli, the ‘I am Safe in Digital’ project is providing digital fraud awareness training for elderly citizens. Organized by the Denizli Metropolitan Municipality City Council in collaboration with the Habitat Association, the program focuses on protecting seniors from digital scams. The sessions cover potential online risks, practical safety measures, and how to recognize suspicious communications, aiming to increase digital literacy and confidence among older populations.
