Local updates: Folkekirkens Nødhjælp sale and Hadsund recycling center changes

Folkekirkens Nødhjælp is hosting a nationwide sale in Hjørring, offering a 50 percent discount at its Østergade 38 thrift store and its furniture recycling center on Hestkærvej 4. The sale, starting Friday, August 28, aims to clear space for new donations and support the organization's humanitarian work. The organization is also seeking volunteers to assist with collecting donations.

Separately, the recycling center in Hadsund has announced temporary changes to its operating hours for week 35 due to roadwork on Finlandsvej. On weekdays, the facility will close one hour earlier than usual, operating from 11:00 to 17:00 from Wednesday to Friday, with weekend hours from 10:00 to 18:00. Additionally, roadwork may cause periodic closures of the roundabout at Ålborgvej, Finlandsvej, and Islandsvej between 10:00 and 14:00 on Thursday, necessitating the use of signed detours.
