Local urban and heritage initiatives launched in Ascoli Piceno and Ravenna
In Ascoli Piceno, the Arengo has launched an initiative to repopulate the historic center by offering 76 furnished apartments for social housing across four significant buildings. These properties, including Palazzo Saladini Pilastri and the San Domenico complex, will be available at subsidized monthly rents ranging from 400 to 700 euros. The project aims to attract young couples, families, and elderly or disabled residents to revitalize the city's core.
In Ravenna, the municipal government has approved an agreement with the Superintendency to restore the archaeological site of Santa Croce. Supported by 600,000 euros in state funding, the project will address hydraulic issues and perform conservative restoration on the 5th-century mosaics and structural remains. The goal is to make the site fully accessible and protect the historical heritage located near the Basilica of San Vitale.
