Local water management initiatives launched in Poland
Various municipalities in Poland are implementing new measures to improve water security and management. In Dobczyce, the local government has joined the ‘Małopolska Deszczówka 2026’ program. This initiative, organized by the Marshal's Office of the Małopolska Voivodeship, provides residents with rainwater or meltwater storage tanks to encourage domestic water conservation.
In Kobyłka, the city has secured 3.2 million PLN in funding from the Mazovian Voivode to purchase a mobile water treatment station. Funded through the Population Protection and Civil Defense Program for 2025–2026, the containerized unit is intended for emergency use during infrastructure failures or water supply disruptions. The project is being carried out in cooperation with PGK Kobyłka.
