Local welfare initiatives announced in Casciago and Cascina

In Casciago, the Pro Loco Casciago APS, in collaboration with the family of founding member Dante Parietti, has opened applications for the 2026 “Dante Parietti” scholarships. Four scholarships, totaling 800 euros in shopping vouchers, are available to support academic merit among local students. Two awards are designated for students transitioning from middle school to secondary school, while the other two are for current high school students. Applicants must have resided in the Casciagoda municipality for at least one year, and the deadline for submissions is October 31.

In Cascina, the municipal administration has announced economic contributions for the 2026 TARI (waste tax) to assist local families. Eligible residents with an ISEE (Equivalent Economic Situation Indicator) of 20,000 euros or less can apply for subsidies covering up to 70% of the tax. The contribution is tiered based on ISEE levels: families with an ISEE up to 6,500 euros can receive a 70% reduction. Applications must be submitted online by November 20.
