Locality Planning Energy to acquire PowerHub for up to $5.8 million

Locality Planning Energy (ASX: LPE) has agreed to acquire 100% of Brisbane-based PowerHub Pty Ltd for a total consideration of up to $5.803 million. The acquisition is designed to expand LPE’s embedded network portfolio and regional footprint into Tasmania and South Australia.

The deal includes 30 active sites with 1,697 active service points, plus 187 contracted service points scheduled to go live by September 2027. Additionally, PowerHub maintains a pipeline of 46 sites representing 2,758 future service points. This represents an 18.9% increase in LPE’s site count and an 11.6% increase in service points.

LPE plans to pay $2.8 million from existing cash reserves upon completion, with the remaining balance contingent on the activation of pipeline service points within a five-year period. CEO Scott Taylor stated the acquisition aligns with the company’s strategy to expand its presence in the embedded networks market.
