LocaMente arrives in Chilean cinemas this August

The Italian romantic comedy “LocaMente,” directed by Paolo Genovese, is scheduled for release in Chilean cinemas on August 20, 2026. Genovese is well-known for directing “Perfectos Desconocidos,” a film that holds the Guinness World Record for the most remakes in cinema history.

The film follows the first date of two protagonists, Piero and Lara. The narrative utilizes a unique concept where the characters' internal personalities—including the romantic, rational, insecure, and passionate sides—become physical characters that battle for control over their actions and words in real time.

Following a massive success in Italy, where the film drew over 6 million spectators and earned more than 20 million euros, it is positioned as a major release for the Chilean winter season.
