Locanda Alinò football tournament returns to Spezia

The 51st edition of the ‘Locanda Alinò’ seven-a-side football tournament is being organized for early September in Spezia. Organized by Professor Pier Giorgio Baudinelli, the event is specifically reserved for players aged over 45.

The tournament will take place on the renovated synthetic pitch at the Arci Pianazze sports facility. Matches will consist of two 25-minute halves with free substitutions and one time-out per team per half, held during evening hours.

Participants will be divided into two qualifying groups, followed by a knockout phase leading to the final. The event includes several memorial trophies dedicated to local figures, including the Filippo Borrini and Franco Cresci memorial, the Antonio Canese top scorer trophy, and a fair play trophy honoring journalists Fulvio Magi, Paolo Rabajoli, and Massimo Benedetti.
