Locarno Pro Awards honor film projects including Spring Story and El Surubí

The Locarno Pro industry strand of the 79th Locarno Film Festival has announced the winners of its industry awards. The ceremony honored several categories, including the First Look works-in-progress section, the Alliance 4 Development co-development program, the Antaviana Spanish Previews Award, and the fourth Heritage Restoration Contest.

With Uruguay as the featured focus country for the First Look section, "Historia de primavera" (Spring Story), directed by Gabriela Guillermo and Irina Raffo, received the Bright Side of the Moon First Look Award for color grading services and the Le Film Français Award for advertising space.

"El Surubí," directed by Lorenzo Tocco, won multiple honors, including the La Mayor Cine Award for sound post-production, the Music Library & SFX/Acorde Award for music supervision, and the Jannuzzi Smith Award for international poster design. Additionally, Florian Hoffman's "Yazz" was recognized with the Nebel Studios Award through the Alliance 4 Development platform.
