Loch Ness Monster sighting claimed via Google Earth imagery
Julie Fraser has submitted satellite imagery from Google Earth to the Official Loch Ness Monster Sightings Register, claiming to have identified what appears to be a “family” of the legendary creature in Scotland’s Loch Ness.
While browsing the area near Inverness, Fraser observed three unusual objects in the water. She noted that the shapes resemble whales or creatures with curved backs rather than boats, pointing to the absence of V-shaped wakes typically left by moving vessels. The images, which include a timestamp of 2026 and show lush green trees, suggest they were captured during the spring or summer.
Fraser stated, “The thought of a small Nessie family existing is so exciting.” While the sightings have sparked significant online discussion, the Register has not yet officially confirmed the sighting. This report follows a productive year for the Register, which has already recorded several online and in-person sightings of the mythical creature.
