Lock Upp Season 2 premieres on Netflix with Farah Khan and Riteish Deshmukh

The reality series Lock Upp: Sach ya Sazaa returns with a complete format overhaul and will launch on Netflix on June 27. Producer Ektaa Kapoor explained that “the entire format of the show, the whole vision changed,” and that none of the original elements – including former host Kangana Ranaut – will be retained.

The new season will be hosted by filmmaker‑choreographer Farah Khan and actor Riteish Deshmukh, who will serve as the show’s “jailers.” Contestants announced at a Mumbai press conference include veteran TV actor Ram Kapoor, actress Shivangi Joshi and other celebrities, forming a group of fourteen participants who must survive challenges and manage in‑game currency.

Co‑produced by Balaji Telefilms and Colosceum, the series will stream exclusively on Netflix, expanding its reach beyond its original ALTBalaji and MX Player run. Promotional activities featured masked “qaidis” appearing in public spaces to generate buzz ahead of the launch.
