Lockheed Martin completes first live-fire test of Kodiak launcher

Lockheed Martin has successfully completed the first integrated live-fire test of its Kodiak containerized launcher. The demonstration, conducted at the Yakima Training Center in Washington, utilized a Reduced-Range Practice Rocket (RRPR) to prove the system's ability to deploy offensive fires from a compact, containerized unit.

The Kodiak system is designed for versatility, capable of being deployed from land, air, or sea platforms. Each container is able to hold up to 12 GMLRS rockets, offering scalable firepower within a low-observable footprint. This development follows several successful GRIZZLY tests and aims to provide the military with cost-efficient, agile weapon capabilities that can be moved easily to meet evolving battlefield demands.
