Marrakech Airshow 2026 to feature F-35A debut and Lockheed Martin defense displays
The Marrakech Airshow 2026, scheduled for October 7–10, will feature a historic debut of the American F-35A fifth-generation fighter jet over Morocco. Lockheed Martin, a platinum sponsor, will host an Industry Day on October 6 to engage Moroccan suppliers and discuss opportunities for local companies to join its global defense supply chain.
Lockheed Martin’s exhibition will include an F-35 cockpit demonstrator, scale models of the F-16 and C-130J Super Hercules, and displays of the Sniper Networked Targeting Pod, Javelin, and HIMARS. The event also aims to showcase modernization paths for Morocco’s tactical airlift fleet.
In parallel, the Royal Moroccan Armed Forces have engaged with US military specialists, including the Utah National Guard, to discuss enhancing cyber defense capabilities. Discussions have focused on integrating cyber activity into the African Lion multinational military exercises to help Moroccan teams better detect and respond to digital threats.
