Loco Kingdom holds Japanese launch event featuring live voice acting

A Japanese launch event was held in Shibuya, Tokyo, for the open-world monster-collecting RPG ‘Loco Kingdom’. Developed by Morefun Studios, a subsidiary of Tencent Games, the title is a new iteration of a long-running series that has amassed over 350 million registered players in China.

Voice actors KENN and Aiba Aina appeared at the event to discuss their roles as Iris and Jessie, respectively. The presentation included a live dubbing demonstration, marking the first public reveal of the game’s Japanese voice acting. The game features over 400 species of magical creatures known as ‘Jini’, which players can encounter and capture directly in the open world rather than through a gacha system.

A closed beta test is scheduled to begin on October 27, with the official service launch expected in late February next year. The game will be available on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, iOS, and Android.
