Locri hosts preview of film ‘L’Agorà perduta’

The film ‘L’Agorà perduta’, directed by Antonio Ciano and produced by Antonio Pezzano, held a private preview at the Cinema Vittoria in Locri. The project, supported by the City of Locri, explores the intersection of history, archaeology, and contemporary life.

The narrative centers on Zaleuco, a 7th-century BC legislator of Locri Epizefiri, and the search for the ancient polis’s Agorà. The story follows Sofia, an archaeologist played by Yile Yara Vianello, as she attempts to uncover the ancient city's political and social heart. Her journey involves encounters with a mysterious shepherd and his son, played by Francesco Migliaccio and Giuseppe Sgambellone, respectively, touching on themes of migration and the choice between leaving or staying in one's homeland.

Produced by Energie Condivise – Movimento Creativo with executive production from the Scuola Cinematografica della Calabria, the film aims to promote the cultural heritage of the Locride region.
