Loeffler and Young advocate for small business lending and ag deregulation

U.S. Small Business Administration Administrator Kelly Loeffler and U.S. Senator Todd Young are advocating for expanded small business lending and agricultural deregulation to support rural economies. During a visit to Indiana, Loeffler proposed significantly increasing federal small business loan limits to help manufacturers and farmers manage rising equipment and input costs.

Loeffler criticized excessive federal regulations, stating that farmers are facing “massive regulatory overreach.” She highlighted efforts to roll back diesel exhaust fluid requirements to ease burdens on the agricultural, trucking, and construction industries. Senator Young emphasized that reducing regulatory uncertainty and maintaining favorable tax policies would encourage capital investment and help American producers maintain a competitive advantage globally.

Local stakeholders, including the Indiana Farm Bureau, noted that removing regulatory barriers could accelerate access to new technologies for farmers.
