Loewe and JW Anderson announce new creative directions and art collaborations
Loewe has unveiled its Spring/Summer 2027 collection, marking a new creative direction under Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez. Moving away from the highly experimental and object-focused era of Jonathan Anderson, the new collection emphasizes wearable garments such as plaid blazers, polo shirts, leather jackets, and skirts. The designers aim to balance their American heritage with the Spanish history of the house, focusing on a functional wardrobe that maintains unique proportions and unexpected materials.
In a separate fashion and art collaboration, JW Anderson is hosting a special exhibition titled ‘A Composition’ during Frieze Week. Held at the JW Anderson store on Pimlico Road from October 15-21, the exhibition features 30 custom wind chimes created by artist Cerith Wyn Evans. The event is organized in partnership with American Express, offering cardmembers exclusive access to the works, including ceramics by Akiko Hirai and sculptures by Shawanda Corbett, as well as panel discussions featuring Anderson and Evans.
