Log-In Logística Integrada targets Brazil's road cargo for cabotage expansion

Log-In Logística Integrada is aiming to expand its share of the cabotage market in Brazil by attracting cargo that currently relies heavily on road transport. The company’s strategy involves integrating maritime transport with road distribution and warehousing, a move that is gaining momentum in the Northeast region, which already accounts for nearly 70% of the company’s cabotage operations.

In Brazil, road transport accounts for approximately 65% of total cargo movement, a figure that rises to 85% when excluding minerals and fuels. Data from the National Confederation of Transport (CNT) suggests that up to 65% of the country’s transported cargo could utilize cabotage during at least one stage of its movement. To facilitate this, Log-In is utilizing its subsidiary, Tecmar, to connect land-based operations with maritime services.

According to the National Agency for Waterway Transportation, cabotage moved 303.7 million tons in 2025, representing a 3.4% increase over the previous year.
