Logan Airport selects eight finalists for new announcement voice

Boston Logan International Airport has narrowed its search for a new public address announcer to eight finalists. The competition aims to find a successor to Massport employee Joe LoGiudice, who held the role for 25 years.

Judges evaluated applicants based on clarity, delivery, authenticity, and their ability to capture a “distinctly Boston” vibe. The selection process included a script featuring local hallmarks such as the North End and Fenway Park.

Among the finalists are Max German, a Boston College Law student; Alex Marcin, an East Boston native; and Samantha Edwards, an entrepreneur from Roxbury. Online voting for the winner is scheduled to begin on October 24, with the final selection announced in early November.
