Logan, Queensland house party brawl kills 21-year-old

On July 26, a house party at a short‑term rental on Orchard Avenue in the Logan suburb of Bahrs Scrub, Queensland, escalated into an all‑out brawl between two groups of youths aged 18‑21. Police arrived around 2:15 am to find significant damage to several cars and a nearby home. A 21‑year‑old man from Redbank Plains suffered severe head injuries, was taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane and died on Saturday. Detective Inspector Ian Galpin described the incident as a “targeted attack” and said there was “no ongoing threat to the wider community.” Several other attendees were treated for lacerations. No arrests have been made; police are urging anyone with CCTV, dash‑cam or other information to contact them.
