Logic, Mathematics and Philosophy Symposium begins in Efes Selçuk

The XI. National Symposium on Logic, Mathematics, and Philosophy has commenced at the Selçuk Ephesus Urban Memory in Efes Selçuk. The event is coordinated by Istanbul Kültür University in collaboration with the Turkish Mathematical Society and hosted by the Efes Selçuk Municipality.

Originally established in 2003 under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Erdal İnönü, the symposium has been held in various locations such as Assos and Foça over the past decade. After a long hiatus, the tradition continues in the ancient region of Selçuk. Prof. Dr. Ömür Ceylan, Chair of the Symposium Organizing Committee, noted the significance of bringing this 23-year academic tradition to a geography with an 8,000-year history of settlement.

Efes Selçuk Mayor Filiz Ceritoğlu Sengel emphasized that the Urban Memory serves as a bridge between the past and the future. The symposium features sessions from prominent scholars, including Prof. Dr. Ahmet Arslan, who addressed topics regarding the relationship between mathematics and philosophy.
