Logistics companies in Spain expand hiring for holiday season
Logistics companies in Spain are expanding their workforce ahead of the holiday shopping season, offering numerous warehouse positions that do not require previous experience.
Mercadona has announced new job openings for order pickers within its logistics blocks. The company is offering permanent contracts and paid training. Available shifts include 22.5, 30, or 40 hours per week, with monthly gross salaries ranging from 975 euros to as high as 2,346 euros depending on the schedule and salary progression. The roles involve organizing products, preparing orders for stores, and ensuring merchandise quality.
In the Madrid region, Eurocen, the logistics division of Adecco Outsourcing, is seeking 2,200 warehouse workers for a center in Valdemoro. These positions involve picking, packing, palletizing, and loading/unloading goods. While these roles are primarily intended to handle the surge in demand during Black Friday and the Christmas season, the company has indicated the possibility of continued employment following the campaign. Candidates are expected to have flexibility regarding shifts and a willingness to learn new processes.
