Logistics investments in Poland focus on automation and renewable energy
Rossmann is undertaking its largest investment in its 33-year history in Poland, allocating approximately 500 million PLN to expand its distribution center in Pyskowice. The facility will grow to 66,000 square meters and feature a fully automated high-bay warehouse capable of holding nearly 27,000 pallets. The project utilizes automated stackers and shuttle technology to increase logistics efficiency in Poland by nearly 30%.
In Radomsko, Frigo Logistics has expanded its photovoltaic installation with an additional 835 kWp capacity. Using nearly 3,000 panels installed on both the roof and vertical building facades, the total installation is expected to cover approximately 35% of the cold storage facility's annual energy needs. This expansion is part of a strategic effort to build energy resilience, with further plans for solar farms in Żnin and the construction of an energy storage facility.
