Logistics sector adopts automation and augmented human technology

The logistics sector is undergoing a significant transformation driven by digitalization and the integration of advanced technologies. A key emerging concept is the ‘augmented human,’ which combines human capabilities with intelligent tools such as wearable technology, augmented reality, and collaborative robotics to improve productivity and operational accuracy.

In North America, rising labor costs and consumer demand for rapid delivery are accelerating warehouse automation. According to a report from the Association for Advancing Automation, North American companies ordered approximately 18,000 robots during the first half of the year, valued at roughly $1.2 billion. This represents a 2% increase in units and a 7% increase in value compared to the same period last year.
