Logitech celebrates 45 years of technological evolution
Logitech is celebrating its 45th anniversary, marking its evolution from a startup in the Swiss village of Apples to a global leader in hardware. Founded by Daniel Borel, Pierluigi Zappacosta, and Giacomo Marini, the company emerged during the transformative era of personal computing in the early 1980s.
Originally named as a combination of the French word for software, ‘logiciel’, and ‘technologie’, the company’s trajectory shifted toward hardware that enables users to navigate graphical interfaces. Its first mouse, the P4, was launched in 1982, helping to bridge the physical gap between humans and digital experiences.
