Logitech expands Spot sensor with new workplace integrations

Logitech has expanded the capabilities of its Logitech Spot environmental and presence sensor through 10 new integrations. The sensor connects with various workplace management, audiovisual control, and analytics platforms, including Appspace, Extron, Q-SYS, Planon, Robin, Spaceti, Utelogy, VergeSense, Xyte, and Zoom.

By utilizing Logitech’s CollabOS and Sync Cloud APIs, the device provides real-time data on occupancy, temperature, humidity, CO2 levels, volatile organic compounds, particulate matter, and barometric pressure. These metrics are intended to help facilities and IT teams automate workspace processes, optimize room utilization, and reduce energy consumption.

Henry Levak, general manager of Team Workspace Solutions, stated that the integrations allow companies to create self-optimizing footprints, helping to prevent lease overcommitment and improve employee comfort.
