Logone Oriental: Man dies under mysterious circumstances

Neurmbaye Clément, a 56-year-old man and father of eight, died under mysterious circumstances on September 11, 2026, in the Donia commune of the Nya-Pendé department, Logone Oriental province.

According to witnesses, Clément was traveling to his field when he stopped at a public tap between Donia and Badila to drink water. He reportedly collapsed while leaning over to collect the water and died at the scene.

Local defense and security forces, along with communal authorities, attended the scene to conduct official observations. Following instructions from the prosecutor at the Goré High Court, the body was released to the family for funeral rites. An investigation has been opened to determine the exact cause of death.
