Lakshya Sen eliminated from Asian Games men's singles

Indian shuttler Lakshya Sen has been eliminated from the Asian Games men’s singles competition following a second-round defeat to Singapore’s Loh Kean Yew in Nagoya.

Loh, the world No. 13, defeated Sen 21-12, 15-21, 21-14 in a match lasting one hour and 10 minutes. Although Sen took an early 5-1 lead in the first game, Loh responded with 10 consecutive points to take the opener. Sen fought back to win the second game 21-15, but Loh maintained control in the deciding set to secure the victory.

This exit follows the early elimination of India’s top-ranked men’s doubles pair, Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty. While Sen’s individual campaign has ended, he previously contributed to India’s bronze medal in the men’s team event.
